The Job

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Implement and maintain all human resources policies relating to recruitment, promotions, transfers, personnel administration, industrial and employee relations.
2. Recruiting and interviewing department head and manager level.
3. Monitor salary and wage administration including the conducting of salary surveys on a regular basis to determine position in the market place.
4. Administer payroll and employee movement.
5. Monitor employee probationary period.
6. Conduct various employee activities including all employee meetings on a regular basis.
7. Advise executive committee and general manager on human resources issues including employee and industrial relations matters.
8. Provide advice and assistance to training manager on human resources related matters as and when required.
9. Produce period end reports for new hires, termination, turnover and resignation reasons.
10. Maintain manpower control report.
11. Monitor period end annual and sick leave reports to highlight trends.
12. Ensure exit interviews conducted for all employees terminating their employments.
13. Administer employee opinion questionnaire and assist in addressing issues/concerns highlighted.
14. Ensure job descriptions and person specifications are developed and updated on a regular basis for all positions.
15. Responsible for ensuring recognition systems for employees and managers are in place.
16. Knowledge of all benefits available locally and within the market.
17. Develop and deliver training programs as and when required and assist all managers in training requirements for their departments.
18. Ensure orientation programs is conducted and followed as per corporate guidelines.
19. Ensure annual training plan in place as per property requirements.
20. Assist in career development planning for all departments.
21. Preparation of budget information of employee relations, training and all salary and wage requirements.
22. Monitor workers compensation and ensure effective rehabilitation program is in place.
23. Ensure the safety program such as safety meeting, safety training observed, maintained and enforced.
24. Responsible for the establishment and functions of the personnel employment and training department.
25. Establish all hotel practices and policies concerning personnel and employee relations.
26. Establish goals, training and development of training manager in an assistant the carrying out their daily assignment.
27. Responsible for maintaining as active source of potential employees to ensure throughout the hotel is staffed.
28. Plan, implement, and monitor the manning guide, human resources budget and plan
29. Update human resources strategic plan annually.
30. Ensure that human resources monthly report is finished on timely basis.
31. Attend and actively participate department monthly meeting.
32. Other duties as required or requested from general manager.

Requirements

1. At least Bachelor degree in any field.
2. At least 5 year experience in one of the company’s executive committee member in international hotels with evidenced tracked record of achievements.
3. At least 3 year experience as human resources manager of international hotel.
4. Strong in inter-personality and leadership skill
5. Proficiency in English and computer literate
6. Good public speaking skill (track record of presentation or public speaking training course)
7. Strong in driving results and people management and development.
