The Job

RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful candidate will be expected to manage Legal & Compliance team including these following tasks, but not limited to:
• Provide responsive, sound, coherent & consistent legal advice on regulatory and contractual issues
• Review and provide recommendations on the legal aspects and considerations for the development and deployment of new products and services as well as any key business initiatives
• Ensure effective interpretation and recommendations on regulation and policies affecting the branch
• Establish, review and updated internal rules, policies and guidelines to meet best practice regulatory and industry standards for the management of legal and contractual risks.
• Take the lead in liaising and resolving key legal and contractual issues.

Requirements

• Degree or professional qualification in legal
• At least 12 years relevant working experience in a banking industry with a demonstrated history of working in Legal & Compliance department
• Lawyer Practise Certificate Holder
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Strong working knowledge of local banking laws and regulations
• Ability to deliver high quality work within tight deadlines and highly independent
• Good at English
