RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational advice, support and assistance for all digital media channels for the school. The post holder has specific responsibility for monitoring, reporting and implementing digital marketing strategies for the group. Additionally, the role will provide support to both Marketing and Learning with other targeted marketing initiatives and activities. Collaboration with colleagues across the group of schools is essential and attendance at both group and regional marketing and learning meetings/conferences will be expected from time to time.

Key areas of responsibility:
- Identify, advise on and support Marketing and Learning with effective strategy and tactics for online marketing communications and for the purposes of driving brand awareness and the school’s value proposition. Provide adequate training when needed.
- Help devise an omnichannel digital marketing strategy (including Content and SEO) that puts Learning at the heart of the school’s marketing initiatives. Implement and coordinate specific online marketing campaigns across all digital channels for use in a wide variety of external media. This includes a particular focus on the school websites, social media platforms, external referral sites and any other platform deemed appropriate through the annual strategic plan.
- Drive the research, development and generation of quality content for online channels.
- Create content calendars and timelines to ensure that online marketing activities effectively support and enhance traditional marketing and communication activities in a timely manner.
- Play a proactive role in making recommendations about opportunities online (e.g. any online trends in education, change of laws, competitor benchmarking etc.) to manage the group’s public profile and reputation and promote its achievements and points of differentiation. Continually evaluate research, market conditions and competitor data.
- Provide guidance and training on social media functions to make sure we are maximising group and regional team capabilities.
- Review posts on school social media channels to ensure alignment with the wider the school marketing strategy and objectives.
- Provide key performance indicators, generate reports and provide advice (using Google Analytics, Facebook Insights and other KPI platforms) such as improving engagement, reducing website bounce rate, increasing dwell time, improving conversion and driving traffic through our channels including school admissions teams.
- Working closely with the Group´s website partner to keep the websites up to date, implement any new changes to the structure and assist in providing WordPress support to the wider team.
- Help develop a series of blog posts as ´Thought Leadership´. Coordinate content with commitment to maximising SEO and SEM opportunities.
- Identify new trends in digital marketing, evaluate new technologies and ensure the group is at the forefront of industry developments, particularly developments in mobile and audio marketing.
- Create, design and implement paid online advertising campaigns (within budgets) to obtain the highest ROI including Facebook Ads, Google Ads and PPC.
- Advise on appropriate expenditure within budgets for all digital marketing costs.
- Assist in developing HubSpot as a marketing and sales platform for schools and support regions to ensure best usage.

In addition to the specific duties listed above, the post holder will also be expected to undertake other such reasonable responsibilities and tasks that may be assigned and to uphold the Vision, Purpose and Principles of the school.

Requirements

- BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
- Proven working experience in digital marketing
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
- Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
- Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
- Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., DART, Atlas)
- Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
