The Job

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide strategic & operational direction and leadership to the Sales and Marketing teams.
- Provide leadership to the creation and execution of the annual Marketing and Sales plans to meet agreed product goals and revenues.
- Ensure plans are developed, implemented and monitored in conjunction with relevant cross functional teams and aligned with the Global brand strategy. Identify and address local marketing issues/needs quickly and monitor progress.
- Accountable for delivering local Commercial P&L goals and other performance objectives & financial KPIs (e.g. product revenue and earnings targets) for the brand.
- Lead the development of country-level forecasts for all BU marketed products (and pipeline product as relevant) (e.g. operating expense, revenue, patient dynamics, supply)
- Manage local business alliances (if applicable) to deliver on royalty revenue targets and maintain/grow effective collaboration. This will also be achieved through effective collaboration with the relevant corporate functions and International Commercial Operation team
- Assess and recommend opportunities for local lifecycle management of the brands/BU to optimize brand growth and competitive edge. Oversee development of business cases for new business opportunities for the BU.
- As a key stakeholder, manage, motivate, and develop the Sales and Marketing team for the BU by setting clear objectives, effective coaching, evaluation and feedback on performance.
- In collaboration with the BOD, Human Resources and all other relevant functional teams to set annual sales targets, annual incentives, and reviewing progress vs. target.
- Organize and lead business reviews (quarterly or more frequent as relevant) in collaboration with relevant cross functional teams.
- Ensure sales/marketing resources are adequate to ensure optimal competitive advantage on all commercial fronts and to achieve short, mid and long term revenue targets.

Requirements

- Degree in life science or equivalent
- Same position as Sales & Marketing Director, Business Unit Manager/ Director at big Pharmaceutical or FMCG companies
- Significant experience and track record of success in sales management oor brand/product management – experience in BU management preferred
- Excellent English skills
- Demonstrated success in the following key areas:
◦ P&L management / budget management
◦ Formulating and implementing effective marketing and sales strategies
◦ Effectively working with cross-functional teams
