The Job


We are looking for a Sewing Manager to provide managerial leadership to the Sewing team in order to create a positive working environment and make the best use of resources in order to produce garments that meet the customers' quality, timeliness, and quantity specifications, while staying within the Factory's cost and performance expectations and adhering to all applicable country, customer, and Factory policies and codes of conduct.

• Examine order loading and current sewer headcount to forecast future sewer needs. Collaborate with relevant functions to meet manpower needs.
• Attend cross-functional pre-production meetings to ensure that the necessary skilled labor and machine resources are in place to meet the production schedule.
• Inform sewing supervisors about the critical focus areas.
• Set and review daily/hourly targets for each sewing line based on orders assigned to each sewing line and overall target efficiency.

• Tracking on-time delivery of production inputs to ensure materials arrive on the sewing lines in accordance with the production schedule, and collaborate with upstream departments to improve as needed.
• Seek assistance from other departments to arrange for new operations/skill upgrades/multi-skill training for sewers as needed.
• Hold immediate employees responsible for identifying bottleneck processes and adjusting sewing lines, and personally assist as needed.
• Re-allocate workers across sewing lines as needed to ensure that production targets are met.
• Ask for assistance from the inline technical support teams to ensure that each line has adequate technical support.
• Seek assistance from inline technical support teams to ensure that each line has adequate technical support as needed.
• Hold direct reports accountable for continuously identifying opportunities for improvement and developing the necessary solutions.
• Assist in the execution of quality programs developed by the Production Unit Manager and the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Examine daily quality reports with sewing supervisors in order to track and identify the root causes of quality issues. As needed, take the lead on corrective actions.
• Monitor and control that the sewing environment, processes, and tools are in good working order, and that the Group's and national production safety regulations are followed.

- Bachelor's Degree in garment/textile/ Business Development or other related fields
- 8+ years of working experience in Sewing management or production management/Technical
- At least 3 years as leader/manager
- Proficiency in English (reading, speaking, listening & writing)
- Organized, systematic, creative, proactive and result-oriented
