The Job

RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Role:
- Supervise and control all strategic and business aspects of the company. responsible for giving the proper strategic direction as well as creating a vision for success;
- Manage the strategic and operational development and execution for the Company and is responsible for ensuring revenue and profit growth, as well as for the effectiveness and efficiency of over 60 brands' day-to-day operations;
- Needs to be able to inspire, lead, and provide professional development for a large (geographically dispersed) team of over 300 and growing as well as to maintain good relations with principles while delivering business results;
- Secure new brands (as available) and will need to drive synergies across the brand portfolio as well as with affiliated consumer services businesses;
- Formulates the company’s vision and direction to drive profitability, continuity, and sustainability of company as Vietnam’s leading luxury retailer

B. Responsibilities:
- Develop high quality business strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives
- Lead and motivate subordinates to advance employee engagement and develop a high performing managerial team
- Oversees key business and operational processes including but not limited to assortment management, buying and merchandizing, and customer relations management, etc.
- Make high-quality investing decisions to advance the business and increase profits
- Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the company’s legality and business ethics
- Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements
- Build trust relations with key partners/brands and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important shareholders
- Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company growth
- Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the company
- Maintain regular price benchmarking for all brands throughout Asia
- Review brand principle agreements to renegotiate terms such as but not limited to pricing strategy, stock delivery, payments, margins, penalties, and marketing cost sharing.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field. A Master Degree/ MBA is desired
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in CEO position for large-scale retail companies or consumer goods companies
- Extensive understanding of Vietnam retail markets with in-depth customer-centric experience
- A record of successful leadership though period of transformation and/or rapid growth
- Excellent strategic development skills and ability to work in a self-directed manager, and to develop good working relationship with key stakeholders and partners
- Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles
- Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance etc.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices
- An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills
