The Job

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides leadership and guidance to the Country/CSO Finance function, developing finance professionals capable of driving a business agenda
• Maintains our license to operate being a good corporate citizen, protecting our external reputation.
• Ensures compliance with statutory and local tax regulations in the country.
• Maintains a strong local focus on net working capital, partnering with local customers/vendors and GSC to ensure timely collection and payment.
• Take an active role in designing plans for improving country performance and objectives on cross functional basis. Ensure high quality analytical support for MWB materialization
• Maintains an efficient working relationship with the GSC finance organization supporting the cluster on accounting and reporting responsibilities
• Compliance: to local statutory reporting requirements are met and filed in accordance with local accounting policies.
• Tax Compliance: for both local entities and liner companies operating in the cluster. Ensures timely and accurate tax filing and settlements, with adequate documentation in accordance with local tax legislation
• Following the control framework set by Centre Finance, ensuring that control activities are properly executed in the agency processes (incl. fraud awareness) and ensuring feedback to Centre Finance on control deficiencies in local control environment
• Lead Finance Business Partnering in the country, controlling revenue leakage from waivers and write offs, and leveraging FBR to provide customer yield analysis
• Validate financial impact of business decisions (e.g. accounting impact, cash flow impact, profitability, financial risk and tax exposure)
• Monitoring of agency cost and ensure adherence to SGA cost budgets for the Country
• Performance management: of agreed upon actions to ensure that each action can be measured on a concrete outcome be it volume performance, campaigns, sales activity levels etc.
• MLOS: Responsible for providing the required governance for weekly/monthly flow of MLOS including OPRs. Communicate performance throughout the organization using standard Tiger and global Reports to ensure everyone has the same understanding of Sales performance. Ensure standardized reporting landscape is in place and applied on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
• Best practices: Share and ensure local adoption of best practises across Clusters, Regions and Centre including cross-regional work assignments and acting as a focal point for Region and Centre standardization initiatives.

Requirements

• A solid financial educational background as Chartered Accountant or equivalent Master’s degree in Business and/or Finance
• Substantial experience as ‘Leader of Leaders’ and with a proven track-record of selecting and coaching finance professionals
• Possess high degree of analytical skills and is capable of combining strategy with financial insight
• Commercial acumen to understand and challenge numbers based on a business agenda
• Experienced in working closely with offshore teams in service centres
