RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB PURPOSE
Corporate Retail Manager will be responsible for the affiliate’s overall retail channel strategy to grow our footprint and market share, and drive operational excellence across all of our Brands. As lead for retail management, person needs to identify and prioritize our corporate retail strategies according to what is most relevant in the market. Will lead the brands in successfully building out their individual strategies and roadmap for expansion, oversee builds of our retail stores to ensure best quality executions, work with brands on retail operations best practices, while ensuring we keep true to the identity and culture of each of our individual brands.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Decision Making
– Identify key Retail strategies that will be most relevant for the market in order to drive growth and market share. Work with the Brand Heads on guidelines in execution and assign key metrics to measure success.

Problem Solving
– Identify issues and challenges in the affiliate and propose a workable solution to maximize Retail opportunities that will bring the brands to their specific goals.

Independence of Action and Accountability
– Accountable for building the right corporate strategies / road map and success of priority projects. Specific brand actions and fulfilment of performance metrics will be the accountability of the respective brand heads.

Budget Responsibility
– Collaborate with Brands to optimize opportunities to meet retail targets. Identify gaps in retail and put in place action plans to address the gaps. Work with brands and IP for cost effective measures in operating retail stores.

Leadership
– Must effectively lead the team towards achieving our retail management goals and successful implementation of priority projects.

Others
– Must keep abreast of market trends, able to coach and share best retail practices, setting policies and procedures, and troubleshooting issues on the ground as necessary. Maximize both global and local resources to be successful in building out and executing the right strategies. Will be expected to participate in necessary Strategy and Retail Center of Excellence meetings where appropriate.

Requirements

Education
 University Degree, preferably in Retail Marketing

Work Experience
 Experienced in managing a retail operations at least 5-7 years, preferably in the retail industry
 Excellent leadership skills in managing staff
 Experienced in Store building/ setting up.
 Business Finance understanding is also preferred
 Strong background in retail and/or brand management preferably in the cosmetics industry,
 Retail selling experience with solid understanding of retail operations management,
 Build/retail store construction management, real estate and expansion plans.

Required Background Characteristics
 Strong networking and influencing skill in driving sales within the assigned territories;
 Strong background in retail sales, preferably in the cosmetics industry, retail selling experience with solid understanding of laying out cohesive and clearly articulated strategy to drive brands in assigned market, territories – Tier 2-3 areas.
 Strong communication skills, to both internal and external stakeholders.
 Trustworthy, with integrity.
