POSITION SUMMARY
Has broad accountability for IT Operations and Application services, the IT team and technology partners, associated budget and the implementation of strategies and projects in relation to infrastructure, application services and technology.
The position must develop, implement, maintain and enhance the stability and efficiency of application services, infrastructure and technology assets, manage the integrity of these assets while leading the delivering of projects within the IT Program of Work.
THE ROLE WILL HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Develop an IT Organization that has the required capability to be business aligned, identify and deliver technology solutions that realize value.
- Establish a culture of accountability and IT Service Management excellence through effective day to day management of internal technology staff and external service partners that delivers sound business outcomes.
- Lead and deliver a range of projects within the IT Program of Work ensuring that business benefits are realized and that solutions are informed by industry and technology improvements.
- Ensure the continued availability of IT services to expected service and security levels (develop and architect business continuity, disaster recovery, backup and recovery solutions and plans).
- Minimize business disruption through technical supervision of the IT platforms including the monitoring and proactive management of events and maintenance activities, problem identification and resolution.
- Lead and provide high level advice to the organization in the implementation and application of new technologies that would enable the organization to enhance efficiencies to its current services.
- Lead and manage the development, implementation and promotion of IT standards, policies and processes aligning to ITIL standards and service management practices.
- Oversee the day to day management of the operational budget and project funding.
- Develop and manage internal and external business relationships, consulting with appropriate stakeholders to negotiate where systems can be improved or upgraded.
- Maintain IT services procurement, standards, methods, processes and practices that ensure compliance with policy and legislation.
- Define and manage the change management activities to ensure successful deployment of developed information services.
- Champion the IT Strategy and principles across all engagements to ensure the consistent and aligned delivery of enterprise technology solutions that realize value.

- University graduation, major in IT
- 15+ years’ experience in the operation and support of enterprise applications, service management and IT operations.
- Experienced leadership of strategic IT Operations, internal teams and external service providers.
- High level of skill in managing and implementing sustainable change and executing strategies within diverse teams whilst at the same time managing and implementing appropriate service regimes (support, capacity and performance, security and integration)
- Track record in the successful delivery of innovative IT projects and programs of work to enhance and realise business value.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and deliver outcomes by working across boundaries.
- Strong communication skills that enable you to build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage conflict and negotiates outcomes without compromising relationships
- Ability to manage risk and return in a commercial environment.
- ITIL certified.
