The Job


1. Strategy:
- Assess contract’s safety carefully to support distribution department.
- Promote an environment where a risk management culture can flourish.

2. Governance:
- Provide service standards and TAT.
- Ensure key risks have been identified, measured, monitored, managed and reported.
- Measure appropriate levels of risk and support consistent risk management.

3. Operations:
- Technical assessment of Life/CI/DI/PA/Medical products applications
- Develops team through training and support training activities.
- Liaison with third parties on underwriting decision
- Assist management team to set up the New business, Underwriting process and Reinsurance process
- Process daily allocations, approve and update system to reflect changes with accuracy
- Prepare monthly performance and KPI reports;
- Participate in system enhancement activities

1. Qualifications:
- Degree in General Practitioner
- Have knowledge of Insurance and having professional qualifications is a plus

2. Experience:
- At least 08-year experience in medical underwriting & risk management in Life insurance industry.

3. Skill/ Knowledge:
- Good medical knowledge and display astuteness in risk assessment
- Strong analytical, decisive & meticulous
- Have orientation towards customer service with pragmatic business and efficiency mindset, attention to detail;
- Positive work attitude and strong presentation skill.
