The Job

RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Strategy
• Ensure the implementation of the periodic strategic plan for area of responsibility, establishing supporting actions and programs to ensure targets are met
• Provide monthly sales forecast and projection, and develop sales plans for execution to support the strategic plan
• Regular monitoring of milestones and deadlines undertaken to achieve strategic objectives. Determine appropriate actions to correct plan deviations
2) Regional and functional connectivity
• Supervise the Vietnam Sales Team in implementing strategies and tactics for ensuring the business plan is met. Close relationships must be formed with the other members of the team
• Interface with the Operations team to ensure that the country’s demand requirements are known and accepted. Work with Marketing & S.E.A Corporate team
3) Sales Team Supervisory
• Set clear and measurable objectives as well as area of accountability for each member of the sales force and review / coach performance against those objectives on a regular basis
• Ensure effective, well trained sales force is well managed and Sales team has effective processes, commission plans, call plans, etc. in place to achieve annual sales targets
4) Processes
• Optimize standard processes to achieve ongoing cost reduction, efficacy and efficiency
5) Customers
• Develop close relationships with customers within the country to better understand their business, and explore opportunities for building greater customer loyalty. Examine opportunities to create long term supply agreements, and ensure commitments in existing supply agreements are delivered
6) Products
• Implement the product portfolio plan for the market, to ensure product availability. Determine the need for new products and continually review the need for existing products
• Provide technical support to customers relating to product issues
7) Financials
• Responsible for developing and implementing budgets approved by the direct manager that is in line with the strategic plan and the subsequent achievement of the financial and operational targets that are contained in the budget
• Establish monthly reporting process
8) Accounts Receivables
• Ensure timely collection of Accounts Receivables and budgeted DSO targets are met
9) Compliance
• Work closely with the direct manager to ensure compliance with all legislation and regulations relevant to the region. Implement plans and programs to continue to meet all compliance requirements.
10) Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the management

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree holder in Optometry or Business Administration
• Minimum 10 years in direct sales with 2 years’ experience in sales supervisory
• Preferably in the ophthalmic lens industry experience
Good negotiation and communication skills (English fluency)
• Strong leadership, supervisory and coaching skills
• Capability to adhere to deadlines and performance targets
• Ability to network, build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
