The Job

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Acts as the business unit lead in collecting customer and market intelligence and supporting sales and marketing efforts. Coaches team to most effectively position and present product features for target market segments.
• Trains and updates sales, marketing, customer support, and engagement teams on product features, benefits and positioning; and gathers and communicates competitive intelligence, including points of differentiation for products.
• Collaborates with sales teams on strategy and identifying focused topics for client meetings.
• Directs customer experience team and collaborates with marketing, editorial, and product teams on execution of sales strategies.
• Gathers and analyzes customer and market intelligence. Coordinates and collaborates on market and subscriber research for guidance in strategic planning, product positioning, new product development, pricing strategy, and evaluation of tactical programs.
• Tracks, analyzes, and communicates to stakeholders customer feedback, competitive developments in the industry, including competitors’ new products, product enhancements, pricing, and promotions. Liaises with editorial and other teams to ensure customers’ inquiries are answered in a timely manner.
• Partners with our clients and internal teams to develop product road maps, marketing and content strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, or a related field
• Minimum 10+ years’ progressive experience in an appropriate combination of business activities including sales, sales enablement, product management, consulting services, and customer support.
• Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM), support systems, and management of support operations.
• Will act as a subject matter expert on Bloomberg Law and its practice specific resources.
• Strong presentation skills with ability to represent the Legal business unit effectively both inside and outside of Bloomberg BNA.
• Develop deeper insights about our clients, the legal industry and the legal marketplace.
• Must possess a strong background in:
- Account management and client relationships
- Legal industry and technology trends
- Competitive Intelligence
- Product education and release strategies
• Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Must be highly a collaborative individual with demonstrated ability to manage change, influence others, and to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
