RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now seeking for a Head of Designer for my client, a well-known firm in the apparel market. The position is accountable for the fit approval process as defined and determined by the brand, including measuring the factory’s ability to meet the client’s requirement.
- Build the design team: departmental structure, human resource plan, recruitment, trainings, rewards, discipline, team culture
- Assign tasks to subordinates, supervise, evaluate, support, and manage quality of the work done
- Organize the development of regulations, processes, standards and policies in the specialized field of the Department
- Update fashion trends and design: Plan, guide, monitor and approve seasons trend boards (Spring-Summer, Autumn-Winter, cross seasons)
- Ensure that the brand standards are upheld at all stages of the sampling process and partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that any product developed is not only fit for purpose but avert of risk and compatible for bulk production in the allocated manufacturing site.
- Lead fit session on mannequin, partner with the brand developer on product development commercialization within expected timelines. Follow/ implement the construction standards to factories.
- Ability to approve all Pre-Production Samples for fit, construction, measurement, and workmanship.
-With the support of data analytics, manage factories’ performance and drive continuous improvement within the supply base.
- Manage technical design performance and involve in a case of any improvement area arise; risk management, find roots and do action plan to settle potential issues; Proactively contact with related parties when issues happen.
- Standardize construction and measuring methods refresher training to related parties Support and train the team members the construction standard, pattern making and grading. Ensure workload balanced within the team to manage workflow and business needs.

Requirements
Years of experience in design/pattern making, garment construction as related to product development through to production.
At least 03 years of experience in the field of garment, industrial sewing
At least 01 year of management experience at similar position
Knowledge of fashion trends, market and garment production
Knowledge of the garment manufacturing process
Proficient in analyzing garment construction, experience
